Privacy policy
Effective October 14, 2026
At Smart Sprouts Lab, we believe trust matters. This page explains how our public website and our internal publishing tools handle information.
Who we are
Smart Sprouts Lab develops screen-free educational activity books. For privacy questions, contact sslabcorp@gmail.com.
Information collected through this website
This is currently a static informational website. It does not offer user accounts, online checkout, newsletter registration, or forms that ask children to submit information. We have not added our own analytics or advertising trackers.
Our hosting provider, Google Firebase Hosting, may process technical information such as IP addresses and request data to deliver and protect the website. Links to third-party websites, including email links, are subject to those providers’ own policies.
Contacting us
If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address and message. We use it to respond and manage the conversation. Please do not email us sensitive personal information about a child.
Google Drive and our internal publishing application
Smart Sprouts Lab operates a separate, privately administered publishing workflow that connects to Google Drive using Google OAuth. This connection is for the authorized operator's production files; it is not a feature offered to public visitors or children.
The application requests Google Drive file access and read-only Drive access to locate and review approved brand resources and publishing materials. These permissions may technically cover more than the designated production folder, but our intended workflow is limited to the Smart Sprouts Lab production assets. Application access tokens and refresh tokens are used to authenticate the workflow; refresh tokens are stored in Google Cloud Secret Manager. We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.
Access to existing Google Drive files is used for publishing operations, quality checks, and preparing deliverables. The publishing application is operated privately by authorized Smart Sprouts Lab administrators. It is not available for public Google sign-in, and visiting this website does not grant anyone access to the internal publishing system.
Children's privacy
Our books are designed for children, but this website is directed to adults such as parents, caregivers, and educators. It does not knowingly request or collect children's personal information. If you believe personal information about a child was sent to us, email sslabcorp@gmail.com so we can review your request.
Sharing and retention
We use service providers only as needed to host this site, handle email communication, and operate the internal publishing workflow. Information is retained only as needed for those purposes and relevant legal or operational requirements. We may disclose information where legally required.
Security and choices
We use reasonable technical and organizational protections, but no internet-based system is completely risk-free. You can ask about information you have emailed to us, or request deletion where applicable, by contacting sslabcorp@gmail.com.
Policy updates
We may revise this policy as services change. The effective date at the top indicates the latest posted version.
